Most of the Tudor board was the original hand hewn board, but some of them were in rough shape. Our goal was to keep as much of the home’s original character as possible through the repair. Where other contractors offered to replace or cap the majority of the boards after a visual inspection, Tim and his crew took the time to assess each board, salvaging as much of the original as possible. Tim was great to work with throughout and I will certainly call him again for my next painting or carpentry need!"

"I have used Taylor Painting & Carpentry for a number of years on several different houses. I have referred him to some of my landscaping clients. We all have been very happy with his services.
This latest project transformed several rooms in an older house that we have been updating. The living room and long hall were a jumble of natural colored wood paneling, mismatched wallpaper, and painted walls. The exercise room was dingy and not a welcoming place to exercise. The kitchen counters had no backsplashes at all and we were constantly trying to keep it cleaned. Tim removed the wallpaper, keeping one wallpaper that I liked so that it complemented the new color in the hall. All paneling and walls were thoroughly prepared for painting and came out beautifully. He repaired a long crack in the living room ceiling and finished the ceiling and trim with clean edges. The exercise room now gives an immediate energy boost, just by walking into the room. Tim tiled the walls in the kitchen above the counters and the entire kitchen looks better.
Preparation for all areas was thorough. Tim cleaned up every day and there was never a mess. He used Low-VOC paint so my allergies did not react and there was very little odor. Tim and his crew came when they said they would. They stayed on schedule. Rugs and furniture were moved and covered as needed and replaced when the work was done. Hanging plastic sheeting reduced dust from getting into other areas. Tim and his crew were polite and responsive to questions or requests that I had during the project."
